Samples and Framework

Hey there!

Since my last post, I’ve fallen foul of the dreaded cough/cold bug which has been doing the rounds, and recently (Tuesday) had a minor op under a general anaesthetic for the removal of a rather troublesome wisdom tooth, which had chosen to lay on its side down near my jawline – ouch!

Further down is a taster of what’s coming up starting in April, but this month – next week in fact – it’s my journal cover workshop. There’s still plenty of time to book a place and you now have the option to choose a date and time that would suit you better. Just let me know and I can sort something out for you, this is a great workshop to try as an introduction to Powertex so if you’ve never used it before, why not come and have a go.

Still, I’ve managed to get the framework for quite a few pieces done in readiness for upcoming workshops, and I can’t wait to get back into the studio to build these up with a mixture of clay, cloth and embellishments using the wonderful medium of Powertex. I’ll be posting these on my social media pages once they’re complete so head on over to follow me there too 😊

I’ve also been preparing the April workshop, ‘time for tea’ project which is a tea plant in flower design, it couldn’t be anything else really with April 21st being National Tea Day!

I’ve tried two different backgrounds and still haven’t made my mind up which colour I will use 🙄

More to come very soon 🙂
